FLAWLESS SERRATIONS! That is NOT some type of light reflection coming off the display side enamel. This specimen has some unusual color variation in its blade. The root is actually chocolate Brown, not Black like the pictures would have you believe. The blade itself is Jet Black with a few Brown highlights throughout, which is what you are seeing on that display side picture. The bourlette is brown as well and 75% intact. As noted above, the serrations are FLAWLESS, although there does appear to be a very tiny speck of enamel peel just behind the tip serration itself, but you can not see this with the human eye. Huge 99% PERFECT Angustiden! This is an absolutely incredible specimen. Beautiful light colored blade with a 90% fully intact brown bourlette. You certainly don't see many like this and never in this kind of condition. The tip is in absolutely PRISTINE condition. Every last serration on this tooth is fully intact and super sharp--FLAWLESS, and that includes both cusps. Unbelievable! There is not a single nicked serration on this entire tooth. Even the tip serration is intact. Both cusps are absolutely flawless. I have yet to see an Angustiden of this size in this condition--Ever! The chances of finding one of these is absolutely one in a million, but that can be compounded 100 fold when you realize the location: St. Mary's River. This tooth has been on hold for a customer even before I obtained it, but if he decides to pass it up then it is going right in my private collection. I just posted it here for all to see. Perfect Blade. Not a single serration has been nicked--not a one. Tip serration is flawless. Both cusps are flawless. On an Angustiden of this size, this is an extreme rarity. Only flaw on this tooth is the bourlette region. I had a hard time getting a good straight on display side shot due to the color of this tooth.
