Spinosaurus
Spinosaurus is believed to be the largest carnivorous dinosaur known to exist, meaning this was the largest predator ever to roam the earth. Yes, even bigger than the Tyrannosaurus rex. The specimens I have listed below are very rare in both size and quality. As stated in the African T-Rex section, most dinosaur fossils are repaired and/or restored -- the specimens below are the extreme exception to that norm.

After closely examining this tooth even further, it appears that I am going to have to go back on my "no repair" word on this one. It does appear as though a very very small (less than half an inch) section of the very top of the root was reattached. Not really the end of the world and very minor -- does not affect the blade. If it bothers you that bad you can simply soak the tooth in ETOH and the small section should flake off again. Its such a small section that it will not affect the overall appearance or value on this tooth, but did want to mention it. Spinosaurus-3 |
