Bone Valley Tapir Jaw section
As with the camel jaw listed below, isolated Tapir teeth and jaw fragments
are not extremely uncommon but one out of the Bone Valley formation is very hard
to come by. The teeth have fossilized a very nice mix of colors. There are
four perfect teeth in this jaw section, as well as one tooth still inside the
jaw that has obviously not erupted yet but is still very visible (and very cool
to say the least). A very nice piece for those who like to add a mix of fossils
to their growing collection.

Bone Valley Camel Jaw section
Camel jaw sections are not unheard of but those from the Bone Valley region are extremely rare. For starters they are super hard to find and secondly collecting inside the mines has been off limits for a number of years now. There has been some repair (no restoration) on the bone segment of the jaw itself. None of the teeth have been repaired or restored and are super sharp. You can even see the outer sharp edge around each tooth. Super nice specimen.
